Love my nuts…
Ssh! It’s supposed to be a secret, but I’m loving my time off as a formerly employed Advertiser copy editor. You never realize how many things you let fall by the wayside when you’re a full-time worker. Clothes that need to be ironed pile up. That closet reorganization never happens. Creative stacks of magazines form around the house, narrowing your pathway each week.
And while I have yet to go through those packages of odds and ends items I had to take home from the work desk about a month ago, I’ve also been trying to enjoy the time off. I revel in the fact that I don’t need to set an alarm each day and my biggest decisions are whether I should meet a friend for lunch or clear out months worth of my favorite TV shows on the DVR.
But my mind is still slightly in a working mode when it comes to this blog. As usual, I try to keep an eye out for ODD things. And as it happened, about a few weeks back I happened to see an infomercial in the middle of the day that immediately caught my attention.
A very entertaining salesman named Vince was promoting an item called the Slap Chop. It reminded me of that Magic Bullet food blender that I’ve always found appealing but never did buy. Don’t know if it was the amazing ease at which this Slap Chop diced, minced and chopped food items of all sizes in seconds or if it was the sales pitch itself. Here’s the beat-bopping version:
Other YouTube videos highlight the “love my nuts” version in a variety of parodies.
I was so tempted to pick up the phone right away to place an order. But then another informercial on the same channel caught my eye. In the meantime I was getting slightly worried that this whole unemployment deal was affecting my ability to discern between products of actual value versus just those with commercial appeal.
But the Shake Weight claims to help women tone their flabby arms and lose weight by shaking this 2.5-pound weight just six minutes a day! I thought I could do this several times a day while watching TV, etc. So even though I didn’t buy it through a phone order, I did manage to find it at the As Seen on TV store in Ala Moana. The verdict? I can’t tell you. I didn’t even test it out since buying it a couple of weeks ago. Sigh…
So who has bought an item, preferably ODD, as seen on TV recently? What are some of your favorite infomercials? What is it about these sales pitches that make a product seem like the greatest thing since sliced bread?
—–
And we’re back with our O&E ODD image of the day. These next two come from this past weekend’s Korean Festival at Kapiolani Park.

It’s not shave ice, nor is it ice cream nor frozen yogurt! It literally tastes like snow. This was a passion fruit flavor. Its dry flakes sort of melt in your mouth like cotton candy and it has a half cold taste. The only thing I could think of was that it was just so ODD. The shop is in McCully Shopping Center and they supposedly have dozens of flavors.

Don’t ask what compelled me to take a photo being practically enveloped by my least-favorite creature! But for the record, I couldn’t find a lifesize cutout of some K-drama hunk to pose with as I did several years back…

What, I am finally first.

Woohoo, QB’s back!
I never watch infomercials, so I’m not tempted by stuff I see on T.V. I have something similar to that slap chop thing from Pampered Chef – my stepdaughter was selling it for a while, and I really like it, esp. for chopping onions.
QB, that lizard looks like it’s about to crush you
By NaPueo, July 12, 2010 @ 6:35 am
You’re Baaaaack
The pasta maker was interesting.
Always loved to see the Ron Popiel infomercials. The spray to cover bald spots was the funniest.
By NaPueo, July 12, 2010 @ 6:37 am
The gecko is not trying to crush you. It wants to give you a great big HUG.

Billy Mays here to sell you what will sit in your cabinets for years
Welcome back Shauna…
I recent bought that Windshield Wonder. Pretty good stuff. It has a handle and a microfiber pad to clean the inside of your windows especially that hard to reach corners. Bought it at Target for $9. Cheaper than online. I noticed target carries a bunch of “As Seen on TV” stuff.
Long time ago I bought a Ronco mixer thingy. That hand mixer that you can use to make whipped cream, smoothies, peanut butter etc. Anyway, we tried to mix this batter and all of a sudden the mixer started to smoke. It didn’t last long.
Gone at the days of watching HSN. But my MIL stiff watches and buys all these gadgets that ends up taking up space.

Hey Shauna! Glad to see you blogging again! I really enjoyed reading the posts. Cory’s sister has the shake weight and she says that it works. She’s only had it for a week or 2 but she says that she feels the burn. I tried it for about 30 seconds and gave it up… lol.
See you around!

for chopping, i picked up a santoku at the japanese store. pretty well made…maybe a little light but i’ll manage. it was about thirty bucks ten years ago and i use it on everything. thing works wonders and holds and edge well.
fav. infomercial is either the shake weight or bowflex grandma…because i’m a guy, of course.

i know what you mean about enjoying your time off… just like furlough days for me! might as well enjoy it while you can!
haven’t bought anything from a tv infomercial recently, thought i sometimes watch and think about buying things they advertise (i’m usually skeptical that it will work as advertised). let me know if that shake weight works… i saw that at target, i think! that slap chop thing looks pretty good – i might have the same similar one that KAN has, but i think i can’t flip up the sides to clean it. i know a lot of people who have the magic bullet and LOVE it!

Hey shauna, I like da pic w/ the gecko. As for the infomercial stuff my wife tried the slap chop was crap, she also got those wipe cloths that was supposed to save you paper towels and it did’nt work like they said it would. I suggest you stay away from all that stuff because they don’t work. I will tell you like I tell my wife, when you see those infomercials remember there is a sucker born everyday…
By teejay, July 13, 2010 @ 5:34 pm

I just got another contract for 1-2 months driving routes through sacramento, washington, zona, colorado and a couple of other places eventually ending up in big sky country. I leave on the last day of august and start on sept 1st. I am hoping to bring along a web cam so I can tape the trip and share w/ everyone. I may… need some suggestions to get this all ready but I got 1.5 months to get it all ready..
By Ynaku, July 13, 2010 @ 9:12 pm
teejay, you know me too well. g’baby spoiled but she is a very polite girl.
Son is going drivers ed. Gives me heart attack every time I let him drive my truck. I keep telling him, it’s not mom’s small Buick. You gotta turn the wheel.
I gotta bite my tongue at times cause they teach them to do things different than how we are accustomed. Even the way they adjust the mirror. I learned that in Defensive driving, but I’m not comfortable with that version. I like to see the sides on my truck in the mirrors and not just the sides of the road.

Ynaku: Does that “16 plus tax” include the rail tax?
nah nah nah, QB…jus’ joking eh?
By Brother Love, July 13, 2010 @ 11:37 pm
ynaku, they changed the mirror adjustment because it minimizes the blindspot. i know what you mean though because if you did’nt go through drivers ed and are “old school” it may seem a bit awkward, but it is actually better. hope your son does’nt raise your BP to much in the process. keep em rollin..
By David In Oregon, July 14, 2010 @ 12:27 am
funny, I used to hear that you were supposed to adjust your exterior mirrors so that you could see the sides of your vehicle. When did that change?
By Brother Love, July 14, 2010 @ 12:50 am
the change was adopted as a rule of thumb when the states started to require drivers ed for under-age drivers more than likely in the 90s. the only thing i don’t like about it is it makes these kids think they don’t have to check over their shoulder for the blindspot anymore. it minimizes it but it does’nt eliminate it..
By David In Oregon, July 14, 2010 @ 12:54 am
yeah, that’s why i used to do both. Other than that, I’d have a smaller stick-on fisheye mirror mounted on the main, to cover any other blind spots.
By M, July 14, 2010 @ 3:06 am

That’s a good choice to rent a hardtop instead of a ‘vert.
By Ynaku, July 14, 2010 @ 6:40 am
Thanks guys. About those mirrors, they say you need to lean as far left as possible (basically until your head hits the window) and adjust the left mirror until you see the side of your vehicle, then lean as far right to adjust the right mirror. This way it covers your blind spots. Thank goodness for the inside mirror controls. Ever try adjust them manually? Gotta go in and out plenty time or have somebody do it for you.
As for changing lane, they teach them S-M-O-G (Signal, Mirrors, Over the shoulder, GO!)
My son learning and my yelling is easing up on him
We gotta do at LEAST 50 hours driving with 10 hours being night driving. This is besides the “Behind the wheel” training with the instructor. I gotta take my son to do the Horseshoe turns on the Hamakua Coast. Now that’s a good test besides having him stop on a hill and then go without rolling backwards.

By David In Oregon, July 14, 2010 @ 9:46 pm

By NaPueo, July 15, 2010 @ 12:56 am
Im old school with my mirrors also. Those who drive delivery trucks can’t use an inside mirror because the view is blocked. Some of us remember when outside mirrors were optional and you signaled lane changes with arm and hand signals. Your window was down anyway since there was no air conditioning.

By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 1:59 am
With auto transmission, it’s worse. You’re no longer a driver, just hit the accelerator and let the electronics take care of everything.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 2:08 am
yah no kidding, tell you what though the auto trans trucks out there are more problem than they are worth imo. if you turn it off or start not in proper sequence all the warning lights come on and then you gotta trouble shoot w/ a friggin manual. if that don’t take care of the problem you may need a mechanic unless one can talk you through the problem. you give me a double clutchin non-syncro trans and i am a happy man lol..
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 2:18 am
well, that’s what I always wonder about. You hear that technology is supposed to make life easier for you. In reality, it seems to make it worse. With mechanical stuff, it is a lot easier to troubleshoot and fix. Add in electronics, and the nightmares begin.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 2:20 am
ya wanna hear a good one. last wk this young driver was blocking me out from leaving a site this kid had his 4 ways on and triangles out and jumps in the cab and starts texting or something. after 15 mins i get out and walk up to his cab and find out he has a massive air leak from inside the cab but he don’t even try to fix it. i open up the passenger door and quickly notice the air is leaking from the splitter tube because the nipple broke off so i tell him what it was and its a quick fix to get out his tool box. he looks at me like he is retarded and says he don’t have one lol, no wrenches no utility knife the dummy did’nt even have electric tape lol. i go back to my truck cuz i know i got a few of those nipples in my tool box and grab what i need to fix it. while i am repairing it i ask him where is his load going and it is the same as mine so i tell him good he can buy me lunch for saving his a$$ because if his boss finds out that a mechanic had to come out here for this he is gonna look like an idiot lol. the curry stew plate was ono hahahhahaha..
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 2:28 am
Wow, now that’s bad. I can understand not having a full rollaway box of tools, but geez, you’d think everyone would carry a small amount of stuff with them.
He’s lucky you didn’t mess with him and make up some nonsense story like you only temporarily fixed it, and he can drive just as far as he needs to, to get out of your way, or that he can drive no faster than 25mph until it’s permanently fixed.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 2:38 am
lol yah i know, but the owner of that company is a friend of mine and i was hungry hahahhaha. ya know my ol man used to tell me when he got mad “dang kids ya buy em books send em to school and they still don’t chit” lmao. dad was right hahahhaha.
the problem i think though these young guys and even some of the older ones out here never drove “over the road” on the mainland so they are’nt stuck w/ no help, and half of those ding dongs don’t care to learn their trade..
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 2:48 am
I think that’s a huge part of the problem. Why should they have to learn, when a mechanic is just a short distance away.
Here on the mainland, whether you drive a big 18 wheeler, or a motorcycle, it is quite important to have some knowledge of stuff, or you could be down in the middle of nowhere, stuck for hours or days.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 3:05 am
over here they don’t ridiculed by other truckers too cuz that motivates you to learn lol. i remember myself as a rookie and the 1st time i had to chain up tires the old timer that helped me did’nt let me live it down for atleast 3 states then by the time i got back to home base everybody knew about it too. i learned everything i needed to know about running in the snow after that lol..
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 3:12 am
Wow. That’s bad. LOL.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 3:19 am
yah i was young back then and very wet behind the ears. we don’t have snow in hawaii so you don’t get that experience, i can laugh on it now though but i was ready to explode trying to put em on and having them fall off the tire when i moved the truck hahahaha. now that i think about it the only thing that made me keep trying was because i did’nt have no traction and it was so cold lol..
By M, July 15, 2010 @ 3:44 am
Guud morning hive!
Don’t get me wrong, AZ is a very nice place, just don’t come during the summer months.
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 3:45 am
Well, you can’t feel too bad. After all, it doesn’t snow in Hawaii, unlike in other places. Here’s a video of a Pacific NW snowstorm from a few years ago. This is a perfect example of the kind of folks who should just stay off the roads…perhaps not even have a driver’s license.

M: Are you wearing your flame resistant suit, so you don’t burst into flames?
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 3:50 am
wassup M, i bet you feel like a dry roasted peanut by now lol. hope you are having a good time buddy, keep that a/c on high brother..
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 3:54 am
DIO after whatching that 1st car i am thinking put it in drive and run over a pedestrian. i don’t mean to be cruel but geez man he hit everything else on the road he might as well go for the gold w/ a perfect score lol..
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 4:00 am
Brother Love: Doesn’t that just make you wonder though? At what point does a person wake the hell up and stop crashing into everything. They should be glad that lack of common sense is not a crime. If it was, they’d all be in jail.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 4:08 am
thats true but to be honest if i was there i would be rooting for him to keep going while i lmao until he started getting close to my car hahahhahaha. OLE!!
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 4:13 am
that’s why you park indoors, so you can laugh as the fools go sliding by.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 4:16 am
yah that would be worth the cost lol. how do you explain it to your spouse or a cop would be the next funny thing. i remember when my kids were just babies my wife hit the wall of the drive thru at jack in the box. she is tellin me about and i am po’d and said how the heck you hit the building the dang thing aint even moving and theres a curb there to keep you away from it lol.
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 4:19 am
Of course, you could be an “active” spectator. Go out there and act like a bull fighter, trying to get each car to aim for you.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 4:24 am
hahahahhahaha. yah knowing them they would probably start going away from me. even in the face of stupidity they could’nt figure out how to get it right lol..
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 4:32 am
With the way those folks were driving, it wouldn’t surprise me at all, if you stood in the middle of the road, and they completely missed you.
By Brother Love, July 15, 2010 @ 4:36 am
i just thought of way to guarantee they would’nt hit you. hold up a sign saying if you hit i will give you 200 bucks lol. that will be incentive for them to aim for you which guarantees you they will miss lol..
By David In Oregon, July 15, 2010 @ 4:42 am

wassup M, since you went to laughlin i know you having fun lol. i always thought of that place would kind of be what hawaii would be if we had casino gambling over here since it is a much slower pace than vegas. tell masako i said hello and drive safe brother. hey take pics so we all can see too lol..

Good evening Ms. Queen BEE and Hive.
Happy Aloha Friday everyone.
By Rodney, July 16, 2010 @ 7:11 pm
The beehive is alive!
I’m surprised no one mentioned the Shop Erotic channel on cable.
But then BananaFysh hasn’t visited yet. KIDDING!
I stumbled upon the station while channel surfing late one night. It’s not like I search for that station. Really.
By Brother Love, July 16, 2010 @ 10:34 pm
gotta work early tomorrow, busy weekend for me..
By David In Oregon, July 16, 2010 @ 11:33 pm
Where is the dancing Queen anyway? Where would she BEE partying this evening?
By Shauna, July 17, 2010 @ 12:08 am
David In Oregon: Pool party!
Is it ODD that I finally used my condo pool for the first time in YEARS??
Rodney: Welcome to the BEEhive!! You finally found us!
By David In Oregon, July 17, 2010 @ 12:14 am
Oooh, pool party!! But wait, I thought you don’t want to mess up your bangs…does this mean lying by the pool, and not actually entering the pool?
By David In Oregon, July 17, 2010 @ 12:17 am
Oooh, Rodney is here. Who else are we missing? Ocean Lover? Paula?
By David In Oregon, July 17, 2010 @ 12:25 am
YM-QB: I went shopping at the grocery store a few days ago. Because they’re doing a major renovation of the store, everything within the store has been moved around, to allow for construction. Since that’s the case, I’m forced to go through the store, aisle by aisle, searching for what I need. When I got to the jam/jelly aisle, you wouldn’t believe what I saw (and bought). It was a bottle of Razzleberry Preserves. Not only can I get Razzleberry Pie out here, I can get Razzleberry Preserves too.
By David In Oregon, July 17, 2010 @ 12:30 am
QB: You should use the pool. After all, you’re probably paying some sort of maintenance fee on it. No sense paying for something you aren’t using.
By M, July 17, 2010 @ 4:29 am
Guud morning hive!
Sedona wasn’t as hot as the other days. It was more bearable even if it was still over a 100.
By David In Oregon, July 17, 2010 @ 12:55 pm
100? Yikes. The high (temperature) where I’m at, will be 76 degrees. I’ll bet that’s lower than the low in Arizona.
By David In Oregon, July 17, 2010 @ 1:42 pm
Oooh, I forgot. Good afternoon Hive.

By David In Oregon, July 17, 2010 @ 11:54 pm
Well, better to be busy, than not at all.
By Brother Love, July 18, 2010 @ 12:11 am
yah thats true. doing some hauls for equipment w/ the movie productions for the flick “battleship”. it is mostly all container loads but really easy just hook and drop and it pays really good so can’t complain. the only thing is it is so spur of the moment that it messes up my log books but i can deal w/ that for the what they are paying..
By David In Oregon, July 18, 2010 @ 12:16 am
as the song says, “ICC is a checkin’ on down the line…I’m a little overweight, and my log books way behind….”

Good evening Vampiress and Vampires.
By Brother Love, July 18, 2010 @ 9:54 pm
wassup DIO,i have officially exceeded my drive hrs now i gotta be off work so no work tomorrow lol..
By David In Oregon, July 18, 2010 @ 9:57 pm
LOL. That’s amazing. A car driver can drive virtually unlimited, but you guys they fine excessively if you’re even 2 minutes over.
By Brother Love, July 18, 2010 @ 10:48 pm
yah i know, the thing about it is it forces you to drive a straight 14 hrs but after about 8hrs i could use a few hrs break and resume after a power nap but you cant do that because if the break is not a straight 8hrs it don’t count lol. thats what happens when you have ppl making the rules who have no idea or experience on trucking.
By David In Oregon, July 18, 2010 @ 11:20 pm
Isn’t that always the case? The ones who make the rules are ridiculously clueless, and never bother to consult with those that are affected by the rules.
By Brother Love, July 18, 2010 @ 11:32 pm
lol it seems to be the way the world works no wonder its so screwed up..

Goooooood afternoon everyone!!
By snow, July 20, 2010 @ 1:45 pm
@ankles – asian buffet sounds good even if it’s on the mainland! i don’t like the “receipt” system at the casinos… show me the money!
*ka-CHING!*
By David In Oregon, July 20, 2010 @ 2:52 pm
snow: The whole receipt thing in casinos is to encourage you to spend all your money there.
Think of it, with machines that drop money instead of a receipt, people can easily move from machine to machine or worse, gather all their money and leave the casino entirely.
With a receipt machine, how many people are going to want to print out a receipt for $3, then try and find the cashier, so they can wait in line for several minutes to cash in their $3 receipt? It’s not worth their time or effort, so they’ll just use it all up in the machine.
*ka-CHING!* for the house.
By M, July 20, 2010 @ 4:55 pm
Guud afternoon hive!
We are home! Home sweet Home! Tradewinds!
By M, July 20, 2010 @ 4:58 pm

Hello DiO!
It was getting worst in AZ when we left, not only it was very very hot, the start of monsoon season was around the corner so it was getting very humid too. Not a good combination.
By David In Oregon, July 21, 2010 @ 8:58 pm
M: You think that’s bad, be glad you didn’t go to Texas. I’ve been lucky, I’ve only been there in March. A friend of mine went to Austin one year, in August, when it was over 100 degrees, and 100% humidity. Talk about baaaaaad.
By David In Oregon, July 21, 2010 @ 9:08 pm
Wow, what’s going on with our Queen. Is she turning into a ninja or something? Seems like she appears from nowhere, then disappears again in a cloud of smoke. Queenie….where are you???
By matt, July 21, 2010 @ 9:11 pm
evening, hive. as you all can see,no matter how bad the kona winds and the vog gets, there’s lots of places in this country that have waaaaay worse weather than at home. chicago (95/95 in the summer and -10/40mph winds in the winter). the southwest, pacific northwest winters…lucky you live hawaii.
Q-STPg: how much did you save on the Long’s purchase? three tries before you could find it?
By David In Oregon, July 21, 2010 @ 9:39 pm
matt: I think there’s another “lucky you live hawaii” to BEE mentioned. That “lucky” for when you’re trying to find something. Out here, you could easily clock 50+ miles driving from store to store to store, looking for the items you wanted.
By Brother Love, July 21, 2010 @ 10:30 pm
hope everyone is having a good one this evening. i actually got a wake up call today, a good friend and hawaiian trucker had passed on while on vacation in russia. it serves as a reminder for me to live life to its fullest while you still can and enjoy. Abraham RIP brother..
By David In Oregon, July 21, 2010 @ 10:44 pm
in Russia? Wow, that’s an interesting vac. spot.
RIP. May you never haul cheap freight, and may you get dollars per mile.
By Brother Love, July 21, 2010 @ 10:57 pm
he would go all over for vac DIO. he went to egypt, france, europe, germany, ect. i was talking to him a day before he left too. he was about 1 year from retiring too..
By David In Oregon, July 21, 2010 @ 11:35 pm
Wow, how sad…but, I guess in some ways he sounds like he lived his life.
I know of too many folks who put things off, saying they’ll go on that vacation, or do whatever, when they retire. Sadly, in some cases, retirement never came.
By Brother Love, July 21, 2010 @ 11:40 pm
yah he did have a full life for sure. he would always tell me “phil go and do the things you want to do while you can”. its kind of numbing to remember those conversations now..
By David In Oregon, July 22, 2010 @ 12:07 am
well, those were certainly true words, which he seemed to live. If only we can follow his example, then, when our time comes, we won’t have any regrets.
By Brother Love, July 22, 2010 @ 12:37 am

QB: How’s it hanging?
Care to hang with me?
By Brother Love, July 24, 2010 @ 10:35 pm
DIO you asking shauna “how’s it hanging” lol. Ummm, hmmmmm, how do you respond to that one. Girls don’t “hang or dangle” but when they get older they may sag a lil. That said I don’t think QB has to worry about that yet lol..
By David In Oregon, July 24, 2010 @ 10:41 pm
Brother Love: That’s in response to Shauna’s, “You’re making me wanna hang upside down! ” post above.
By Brother Love, July 24, 2010 @ 10:48 pm
lmao oh ok, geez man you were starting to worry me there for a moment bro hahahhahahahaha..
By David In Oregon, July 24, 2010 @ 10:50 pm
Brother Love: By your way of thinking, that would give a whooooooooooooole new meaning to “Queen” Bee…not that there’s anything wrong with that sort of thing.
By Brother Love, July 24, 2010 @ 11:06 pm
Lol, I think that is everybody’s way of thinking but some just won’t admit it..
By David In Oregon, July 24, 2010 @ 11:17 pm

Guud morning matt, NaPueo and da hive!
I’m back at work and this is the part I hate about coming back from vacation. My work is piled up, I can’t even see the bottom of my desk. Everything is moved around, my pens are missing, I have hundreds of emails, tons of phone messages and I don’t know where to start. It will take me days if not weeks to get caught up.

Welcome back to the real world M. I know, it sucks doesn’t it. Necessary evil. lol
By David In Oregon, July 26, 2010 @ 8:07 pm
sally: “Necessary evil” ? That’s because M hasn’t learned the secrets to a successful vacation plan:
(1) Keep calling yourself and leave yourself bogus voicemail messages, until your voicemail inbox is full, so no one can leave you any voicemail messages.
(2) Set your email to “auto-reply” with a message to contact someone else while you’re on vacation (make up a name with bogus contact info).
(3) relabel your trash can as the new “Inbox” so that your “Inbox” will be emptied on a daily basis, without any intervention from you.
By M, July 26, 2010 @ 8:30 pm
Guud evening hive!
At least my co-workers were happy to see me back at work. They told me all the bad stuff that was happening while I was gone that wouldn’t have happen if I was there.
By M, July 26, 2010 @ 9:03 pm
Added a new member to our family tonight. Miki, a female calico. We adopted it from The Animal Care Foundation.
By Brother Love, July 26, 2010 @ 9:13 pm
wassup gang, work today was kinda disappointing but ended early and off tomorrow.
talkin w/ my cousin we were recalling old childhood memories. i clearly remembered stuff as young as 3 yrs old and i mean dead on accurate to the color of a room or type of car or smell and stuff. my cousin was freakin out cuz i remembered that far back and really started trippin when i started to tell him about things about him that he don’t even remember hahahhahaha. what are your earliest memories as a kid. i sincerely thought everybody could remember that far back..

Good Morning Hive!
@M – congratulations on the addition to the family. Adopted/rescued pets know and are often grateful for a family.
@BLove – My most vivid earliest memory is walking with my bro, barefoot at the zoo. Probably about 3yo too. It was hot and they had these benches with sand beneath. We buried our feet in the sand.
By Brother Love, July 27, 2010 @ 11:33 am
thats cool kage. so far everyone i talked to about this we are the only 2 that had memories at that young age. the most common answer i got was 6yrs old which i guess makes sense cuz at 6 things start to change in your everyday routine. another funny thing the most common subject was 1st day kindergarten school; i guess because it was a lil scary so it had an impact on them lol.
